Everything starts with understanding how you live. Kristen’s career in design began with training as a user experience designer, studying how people live and designing for what matters to them. That’s still the heart of every Little Farm project, and it’s why your home will feel perfectly designed for your lifestyle.
Our Design Process
Discovery

We start by getting to know you and how you like to live. Who shares the house, including kids and pets? Do you host often, or is home a quiet retreat? We talk about what works, what doesn’t, and how you want each room to feel, and about budget in broad terms.
Space Planning

We model your rooms in 3D and work out layout and flow, so you can confidently know how each space will function before anything is ordered or built.
Style Exploration

Alongside the layout, we develop your take on coastal style, expressed through color, materials, and texture. Colorful or neutral? Casual and relaxed, or elegant and refined? The result is your own version of approachable modern style.
Furnishings Selection

We select furniture, lighting, rugs, window treatments, and accessories to fit the plan, the style, and the budget. You review and approve every selection before we order.
Procurement

We place and track every order through delivery. We handle any issues that arise with the vendors and delivery teams, and keep you apprised.
Installation day

Your pieces are received and inspected at a local warehouse, then installed together in one visit under Kristen's supervision. You arrive to see the space we envisioned together, brought to life in your home.
Working Together
You can expect a guided experience, with opportunities to provide input and feedback at every step. Arriving at the right design solution is a collaboration. The execution is where we take the work off your plate, from working with vendors and contractors, to solving inevitable issues behind the scenes, to ensuring a smooth installation day.
